NoteSketch BookJournal

“there's still nothing better than pen and paper” “unfiltered” My notebook isn't precious; it's a workhorse. I prefer loose sheets of paper to [bound] notebooks.

I take my journal everywhere. You just have to figure out what works best for you. little Zen tidbits

"Your memory sucks.” Anything to recollect a spark or inspiration. I have a book for each brain hemisphere, a right side and a left side. What makes a notebook a favorite is based on the content I put into them. “gives me license to doodle, which helps me to maintain my focus as a visual person." anything but precious. Anything goes

I never go anywhere without my notebook

"isn't so much what notebook they use, as how they use them" These are snippets from an article about notebooks (aka sketchbooks) used by creative directors, type face designers, hi tech product designers (famous, they tell me). ..link to article here. My point is that whatever you call it, sketching, doodling, painting, note taking, mind mapping… using a note-sketch book-journal is good for creative minds. Join me in April for a 2 day workshop in Gig Harbor to explore adding or expanding sketchbook use in your creative life. Here, check out the details. (or see previous blog post) Cheers!
