Welcome to my virtual studio.  The real one is located on a wooded 21 acres in the Puget Sound region of Washington state.  Here I draw, paint and putter with all the materials of an artistic life.  Drawing on my erstwhile profession as an equine veterinarian, I illustrate medical and natural science subjects and paint portraits of favorite animals.   Wild things and landscapes are my other favorite subjects.  If I’m not here painting or puttering, you can often find me out running, hiking, backpacking or kayaking.
